Pretty but not sure about the tops being gold plated

The tops are very pretty and weighed heavier than expected. However, I’m allergic to anything but gold and silver and it was stated in the description “yellow and white gold electroplating” but I still had an allergic reaction to these tops after first wear. I tried wearing it a few days afterwards but the same thing happened. They are probably steel or rhodium plated like others in the market to maintain that shine and colour (quite different from silver metal). It was a major downside for me.
